Vixus has chosen to dedicate this year's charitable commitment to honouring the memory of William Parkinson, our colleague, friend, and Vixus Principal Consultant, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in January 2026 at the age of 26.
William was an integral part of the Vixus team: intelligent, kind, and deeply committed to making a positive difference, both in his professional work and in the world around him. He is greatly missed.
In William's memory, his family are raising funds to create the William Parkinson Living Laboratory, a dedicated research space on the rooftop of Europe's first temperate rainforest research station, being established by the Thousand Year Trust in the Cabilla Valley on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall. The station will be a hub for scientists, students and conservationists working to restore and protect the UK's rare Atlantic temperate rainforest landscapes, a cause that was close to William's heart and located near the home he loved.
The Living Laboratory will support pioneering research into epiphytes such as lichens and mosses, including an initiative inspired by coral restoration techniques, designed to accelerate the recovery of degraded rainforest ecosystems for generations to come.
As part of our commitment to honouring William's legacy, Vixus pledges to make a donation to the William Parkinson Living Laboratory fundraiser for every new project we are appointed to deliver this year.

Vixus is proud to be an official sponsor of the Ireland Women’s Rugby League Team.
Rugby league is one of the most demanding team sports in the world, and representing one’s country at international level is the pinnacle of athletic achievement. Yet for the Ireland Women’s squad, that honour comes without the financial backing that many would assume. The team remains amateur and relies on sponsorship to fund travel, kit, and essential running costs that allow them to compete on the international stage.
We were approached about sponsorship and said yes without hesitation. At Vixus, we care about grassroots sport, and we are especially passionate about backing women’s sport and helping to close the gap that still exists between men’s and women’s athletic funding at every level, including international competition. These are talented, committed athletes representing their country with pride, and they deserve the support to do so.
By sponsoring the Ireland Women’s Rugby League Team, Vixus is playing a small but meaningful part in helping this squad pursue their ambitions, ensuring that financial barriers don’t stand between them and the jersey.
