"The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention" -  Oscar Wilde

Vixus is proud to announce that we have partnered with Wiggly T as our chosen charity for the next year.  Based close to Vixus HQ in Stroud, Wiggly T is a small not-for-profit that makes and gifts specially designed T shirts and baby vests for children in treatment for cancer.

Founder Dominique Farmer explains it best: “We started Wiggly T with the goal of helping other families, like ours, who have a child with cancer.

Our daughter, Indi, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) when she was two. Almost immediately, she had an operation to implant a Port (Portacath / chemo port) under her skin near her collar bone.

Her Port linked internally via a tube into a large vein near her heart It was accessed with a 3/4 inch needle to allow for chemo delivery, blood transfusions and draws, IV antibiotics etc needed during treatment.

Wearing a Wiggly T allowed her to keep her top on and kept her largely covered for access and treatment. She felt more protected while we were able to easily keep the fabric away from the sterilized area. Her top could also be done back up very quickly after being accessed without being in the way of treatments.

The treatment was always traumatic for her, but her Wiggly T allowed her to feel protected and comforted and she recovered each time much more quickly.

Our commitment

As part of our commitment to supporting this worthy cause, Vixus pledges to donate the cost of producing 1 Wiggly T for every new project we are appointed to deliver.  We will also be running fundraising events throughout the year, and raising the profile of the Wiggly T organisation through our social media channels.

CEO Darien Jay said: “When I first heard about Wiggly T and the work they do, I just wanted to know how we could help.  When I broached the subject with the Vixus team it was so pleasing to hear that my enthusiasm was shared by everyone.  We’ve decided to make this commitment so that our clients can be part of the journey too; they will know that by appointing Vixus they are directly contributing towards such a meaningful cause that supports some of our most vulnerable children.”
