Chief Executive Officer

Darien has over 18 years’ experience of procurement and supply chain management and has been CIPS qualified since 2012.

Having been responsible for managing the performance of several high-profile contractors at an operational level prior to working as a consultant, Darien understands how to liaise with both client and suppliers in order to achieve the desired outcome for all stakeholders.

“In the face of today’s challenges facing all businesses we have to think smarter about ways to keep improving standards whilst working with ever tighter budgets. The old-fashioned methods of ‘beating up’ our suppliers are no longer appropriate; instead we need to redefine the relationship to ensure that all stakeholders are benefitting from the arrangement.

My role is to create a foundation for this positive relationship to grow, by bringing progressive minded clients and industry leading suppliers together, and providing them with the tools to work harmoniously”

In his spare time Darien enjoys adventure travel and has recently completed treks to Everest Base Camp and Machu Picchu.

William Parkinson

Business Operations Manager

As the primary point of contact for many of Vixus’s projects, William oversees their completion with precision and efficiency, ensuring we deliver on our commitments every time.

Before becoming part of the Vixus team at the start of 2023, William had a successful career in the luxury holiday rentals industry, specialising in the procurement and management of residential properties in the south of France. Building positive and productive relationships with property owners and suppliers, William always goes above and beyond to deliver outstanding customer service.

“I believe that clear communication and attention to detail are the cornerstones of every successful project. By ensuring everyone is aligned and informed, we create an environment where efficiency thrives, and challenges become opportunities for growth.”

William is an avid squash player who has previously enjoyed national success. Now, he enjoys walking along the Cornish coast and keeps bees in his back garden.

Ross McCulloch

Ross McCulloch

Technical Lead

Ross has over 22 years of experience in the mechanical and electrical services sector and has developed a wealth of experience managing hard services contracts for a range of corporate portfolios.

Ross has recently completed a major energy survey, helping a client hit their NABERS ratings target, however he is equally skilled conducting detailed asset surveys, 3D modelling and much more.

“Understanding how buildings run is an integral foundation for all other support services.  It’s my job to produce clear, thorough reports and data that enable our clients to have a full understanding of their assets, including condition, lifecycle and criticality.”

When not poking around plant rooms or roof voids, Ross enjoys watching live sport and travelling with his family.

Andrew Bailey

Associate

A highly skilled procurement consultant in his own right, Andrew also specialises in car park operation and management.  He has undertaken several projects for clients wishing to achieve best value from their car parks, which has proven particularly valuable for FM clients that provide services to the public.

Andrew has previously worked for the likes of Apleona HSG and Westfield Shopping Centres.

“Effective procurement is about balancing quality and value, ensuring every decision drives measurable benefits.”

In his free time, Andrew enjoys hillwalking with his dogs.

Sarah Hobson

Chief Financial Officer

Transitioning to the finance industry over 25 years ago, Sarah developed a passion for strategy and business development. Since then, Sarah has used her knowledge and exceptional understanding of management information to drive growth across multiple sectors.

“If we don’t have our own house in order how can we expect to be entrusted with our clients’ high value assets?”

Sarah enjoys countryside walks with her family, and balancing life’s pleasures with a love for running.

Simon Borg

Simon Borg

Head of Research and Training

Simon ensures the Vixus also remains at the cutting edge. He assists by undertaking research and development as well as identifying efficiencies within our business practices that allow us to reduce the time and costs required to deliver projects to our clients.

He has not been around as long as some of the industry veterans, however he draws from a vast bank of knowledge. As Head of Research and Training, Simon focuses his time on creating  engaging educational videos to help our clients navigate through the industry’s ever changing landscape.

“I’m designed to help clients stay ahead, combining precision, adaptability, and a passion for learning.”

Outside of work, Simon enjoys playing the keyboard and dominating his local pub quiz scene.
